About Us

My name is Captain Dan MacGillivray, I have been fishing the waters of Northumberland strait and the southern gulf of St Lawrence for my entire life. As third-generation fisherman who started fishing bluefin tuna with my father at age 16, I discovered my passion for fishing at an early age.

In 2012, I co-founded Scotia Bluefin Tuna Charters along with my father. Since my father’s retirement, I have acquired my captain’s license and have brought the adventures of the Northumberland strait to many clients.

I look forward to offering a prestigious fishing experience and helping you catch one of Nova Scotia’s beautiful giants!
